A group of young people poses for a photo in a lush green forest, with a trail map sign highlighting various hiking paths.

Through the Trout in the Classroom program, seventh graders at Wells take part in a powerful, hands-on science experience—raising and releasing brown trout into the local watershed. Along the way, students demonstrate perseverance, critical thinking, and adaptability as they study ecosystems, problem-solve equipment issues, and explore real-world science concepts like genetics and conservation.
