• A physical examination completed at your pediatrician meets the requirements for BCSD sports participation
• Physicals are valid for 12 months from the date of the exam
• Use of any orthopedic devices at school (crutches, CAM boot, cane, etc.) requires a note from a doctor with the anticipated duration of need.

Medication in School

All medications (prescription and over-the-counter) must adhere to these guidelines:    

• Any medication orders for any medication (OTC or RX) to be administered at school need to be renewed annually. This includes any “self-carry” medication
• Medication administration in school requires a written order from a licensed prescriber along with written parental permission. 
• Medication must be brought in by a parent/guardian (adult) in the original container.  Medications CAN NOT be brought to school by a student via the bus.
