Our School

Henry H. Wells Middle School is a special place. Serving approximately 650 students in grades six through eight, our mission is to provide students a school community where every student is known, affirmed, safe, and challenged. We work to support all students in their journey toward personal, social, and academic growth. We also leverage the unique strengths of each of our students to help them develop the skills necessary in the 21st century. To this end, our school motto, “We Are Wells”, communicates our dedication to inclusivity, unity, and community. This embodies the concept that we are one family that works together to achieve a common goal. 

In 2025, Wells received the 2025 designation as a Middle School to Watch through the National Forum and NYS level of the Schools to Watch Program. This designation is recognition of the dedication our school community exhibits through the following four domains; academic excellence, developmental responsiveness, social equity, and organizational structure. Wells is a proud recipient of this honorable designation that demonstrates our unwavering commitment to providing a high-quality and supportive environment for all students.
